The Wilton Health Department is responsible for enforcing state statutes and regulations pertaining to septic systems, wells, food service licenses and other matters. A full-time director, who also serves as the Chief Sanitarian, and an Assistant Sanitarian, staff the department. Both staff members are certified to perform required inspections of septic system installations and food service establishments. 

The department is dedicated to ensuring a safe and healthy community for all residents and visitors by engaging in a proactive approach to health, safety, disease surveillance, and prevention.

Radon Test Kits Update: January 12, 2026

The Wilton Health Department appreciates your interest in our free radon testing program. At this time, we have reached the maximum number of test kits available. If additional test kits become available, we will send out a notification.
